Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology

Vision
A channel in the teaching of Accounting Technology towards the changing needs of the country and the world.

Mission
To produce competent, economy-based, globally competitive and honest skilled professionals ready and able to take advantage of the opportunities brought about by a globalized world and help the economy and government.

Objectives

  1. To provide excellent education that will equip students with specific skills and competency for the entry into the BDO industry and accounting profession.
  2. To accept students from the two-curricular year Certificate for Accounting Technology course who wishes to earn a bachelors degree in BSAct.
  3. To prepare the students for eventual entry into the regular degree program of the Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSA).

Admission and Retention

  • Only students with an average grade of 85% shall be admitted to the program
  • The student must pass the qualifying entrance examination both in Mathematics and English with a score of at least 50 or above.
  • Once admitted into the program, the student should maintain grades not lower than 2.0 in all board subjects and in all other subjects enrolled.
  • Failure to maintain the required grades will be reason for disqualification from continuing the program.
  • At the end of each summer, students who were able to maintain the required grade shall take a qualifying examination covering accounting law, and taxation subjects to be able to enroll the following semester. Failure to pass the examination will disqualify them from the program.
  • Accountancy students must provide themselves with the books required by their instructors without exemptions.
