NEW SCHOOL YEAR - NEW EXPERIENCES...

Last year brought the best from the students, faculty, and staff which propelled the FCC College of Computer Studies to the top spot in providing quality and excellent computer education in the province. This School Year 2008-2009 is the 15th year of the computer degrees program and new challenges await. It is our goal to continue our good performance and qualify ourselves to be globally competent in the field of Information and Communications Technology.

To provide a relevant and quality information technology education and produce globally competitive information technology specialists.

CCS Goals

1. To provide students and other clientele the knowledge of business, computer and general education through quality instruction and learning environment.

2. To develop the skills of the students in communication , business and computer technical competence with the use of advanced technological innovations.

3. To mold the attitudes of the students into what is necessary and expected from individuals professing computer information system specialization.

4. To instill among the students the sense of social and civic responsibilities through actual and office experience.

5. To inculcate on the students Christian values for them to live by.

THE BSCS/BSIM THESIS

The BSCS/BSIM Thesis consists of a thorough, integrated literature survey in a specific technical area, with a critical analysis of approaches and result, and a discussion of areas requiring further work. In addition, it includes a report on research undertaken by the BSCS/BSIM students.

Before students are able to graduate with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/ Bachelor of Science in Information Management, they must first successfully defend their thesis. A panel will review their theses to determine whether or not they meet acceptable standards, and will conduct an oral examination to test the students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards their field of specialization.

JS prom 2008 recap

The FCC College of Computer Studies successfully conducted its Juniors & Seniors Prom Night last February 29, 2008 at the Nesta's Hilltop Hotel, Roxas City.

In the final analysis, the activity brought out the best in everybody as characterized by these observations:

The good traditions of the college were kept and improved.

The juniors upped the ante by preparing a worthwhile program.

And finally, the support of the seniors and the faculty in this activity showed the unity, strength, and success of the college.

The field of information and communications technology (ICT) is vast and contantly changing. The students of this field need to be updated with the latest trends and experience actual situations involving the use of these technologies to motivate them to pursue careers in ICT.
