Despite the decreased enrolment in college level due to the full implementation of Senior High School program, Filamer Christian University's (FCU) total population for the first semester of Academic Year 2017 - 2018 increased by 7.8 percent from last year's 4, 728 and breached the five thousand mark with 5, 130 enrolled students and pupils as of July 20.
Contributory to the increase in the population is the influx of enrollees in the Senior High School (SHS) that reached 1, 477. Inadvertently, FCU has also the biggest number of enrollees in SHS as compared to other private schools that offer the same program in the province.
There was also a significant increase in the enrolment in Kindergarten, Elementary, and Junior High School as compared to last year's enrolment.
The growing number of professionals enrolled in the Graduate School programs of the University also became a contributing factor in the increase of the student population.
It can be noted that the population in college dropped because there is no enrolment in the first and second year levels.
