Filamerian Delegates Excel in PACSA

Two of Filamer's delegates stood out during the National Convention of PACSA in Baguio City last November 27-29, 2009.  Mr. Jessiemar Diaz, the current FCCSR president, was chosen to host a half -day plenary session for the 800 student delegates of the convention.  On the other hand, Pastor Ronald Parpa  together with six other recipients, received the Most Outstanding Campus Adviser of the Year award.

Four delegates from Filamer Christian College participated the National Convention of the Philippine Association of Campus Student Advisers (PACSA) held last November 27 to 29 at Baguio City.  Aside from Diaz and Parpa, Roy Justine Gregorio, FCCSR Vice President, and Mr. Jonathan Adjijil, the Current FCCSR Adviser, were among the one thousand two hundred delegates from different schools in the country who attended the  PACSA convention.

On the second day of the convention, Mr. Diaz, the FCC student leader participant, was chosen to host the plenary sessions of the conventions.  The topics presented were "Student Leadership and the Philippine Political Outlook"  presented by the AKBAYAN Party List Representative Hon. Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel and the "Leadership in Crises" presented by Dr. Faye Lea Patria Lauraya, President of the Bicol University.  Mr Diaz was chosen out of eight hundred delegates from the participants.  He has shown a refined and eloquent personality reflecting the values of a true blooded Filamerian.

During the last day of the Convention,  Mr. Parpa, an adviser participant, was given the prestigious award, the most outstanding campus adviser together with five other awardees -two from Luzon, two from Visayas (including Parpa), and two from Mindanao. Pastor Parpa was chosen because of the following:  superior academic performance; responsible leadership and active participation in worthwhile co-curricular and extra curricular activities; a deep sense of community awareness and invlvementr, and shows sensitivity towards others; personal values, moral convictions and integrity; a pleasing personality and ability to express oneself effectively; and exemplary achievements in the school and in private life that have resulted in benefiting the country and its people.
